Well, although we have had a few mild spells this winter has not really allowed any oppertunities to pursue any winter steelhead. So with a little cabin fever setting in thought I would share with what I'll be keeping busy at to get my fishing fix! This Thursday I am hosting a "fly swap" during Angling Sports in London open vice night which is every Thursday from 6-8pm. There will be 12 participants in the swap and we'll be swapping each other our favorite BC or Ontario Steelhead swinging pattern and each will demonstrate how to tie it as well. I plan to do this a couple more times this winter so if interested in coming to see the demo's or partcipating in the swap just send me a note!
Also this coming weekend the Isaac Walton Fly Fishign Forum will be held in conjunction with the Toronto Sportsman Show. The show run from Feb 7-10th and the Forum will be on the Sat and Sun. I will be giving 2 different seminars that will be repeated 3 times each through the 2 days. They are "The Spey Craze" and "Fly Fishing Ontario's West Coast". If you are looking for something to do and a remedy for a dose of cabin fever come on out, would enjoy seeing you and talking fishing!
