Spring steelhead on the Swing!
Plain and simple, our passion is pursueing steelhead with two hand gear and there is no doubt that the Maitland River and Saugeen River offer some of the best swinging water found along the great lakes. Whether your are just entering your addiction with spey casting or have been swinging with a two hander for years, a day on the river with Mike is a day you will definitely appreciate! These rivers have a strong native population of wild steelhead that readily take a swung fly.
The best times of year to visit Ontario's West Coast to pursue these chrome gems is from mid March to the end of May and again in the fall from early October to the end of December. FlyFitters also offers the use of a full set of Gloomis spey rods and Ross Reels perfectly matched with Scientific Anglers spey lines!
