Some of the best swinging water in Ontario is found on the Maitland and Saugeen rivers along Ontario’s west coast! In these rivers we find a healthy and strong population of native wild steelhead. These fish are very powerful and readily take a swung fly.

At Fly Fitters we offer guided adventures on both of these rivers in pursuit of these very sought after sport fish. With the use of either our Outcast PAC 1300 inflatable raft or our 16’ Clackacraft drift boat we can cover many miles of secluded water in a day to insure a good opportunity at getting your fly in front of fish.

When normal water levels prevail the “Skagit” system is the preferred method with a two hander to hook fish. With the fast flow and depth of the prime holding water  on these rivers a system that can deliver a larger  fly off the end of a 10’sink tip is vital to success.
